Frequently Asked Questions about Your Bluetooth Cooking Thermometer
Q: Which smart devices are compatible with the iChef ET-737 Bluetooth Cooking Thermometer?

Q: I connected my ET-737 and don’t see any temperature on the app. What should I do?
A: Make sure your ET-737 Indoor Cooking Thermometer is connected to your smart device by pressing the Pair button, located in the top right corner of the RediChek app. If the ET-737 is connected, you’ll see the Bluetooth sign is Green. If it is not Green, then that means the unit is not connected to your device.
Q: What should I do if my ET-737 won’t connect or keeps dropping the Bluetooth connection?
A: Start by disconnecting the ET-737 from your smart device, and closing the RediChek app completely. Reconnect the ET-737 to your smart device first, and then open the RediChek app on your smart device afterwards. Once the ET-737 is connected, you should be able to see the probe temperature on the app. If you still do not see a temperature, please make sure you’ve connected the ET-737 to a device that is compatible (list can be viewed below).
Q: How do I switch from ⁰C to ⁰F on my ET-737 Bluetooth Cooking Thermometer?
A: Once you connect the ET-737 to your smart device, you’ll be able to switch from Celsius to Fahrenheit, or vice versa, by going to the Settings section of the RediChek app.
Q: Why do I get HHH or LLL for a temperature when I plug my probe into the unit?
A: 99% of the time, your thermometer’s probe has failed. The probe may have been melted, severely pinched or immersed in water. Any of these would cause the probe to short out and give the error code HHH, LLL or a false temperature reading.
If a probe is malfunctioning due to moisture accumulation inside (for example, when it is used in a smoker, which has a high level of humidity), it can usually be made to work again by the following procedure:
1.) Place probe and wire (not entire transmitter) in a small baking pan and put it in an oven that you have preheated to 250ºF.
2.) Leave in for one hour, then remove and allow it to cool. When cool, try using probe again and test.
If the probe is still under warranty, please either call or email our customer service department (email@example.com) with the model number of your unit and we’ll replace it, free of charge. If the probe is out of warranty, replacement probes are available for purchase on our website: www.maverickhousewares.com.
